Burg Stock Drivers Special Bonus @ 17.399Kevin England
New for the 2018 season at Galesburg Speedway we have a new system in place. The Burg Stock drivers will have the opportunity to be promoted! We have found that over the years some drivers show exceptional talent and posses a very special ability. So to reward those drivers we have given them the chance to earn a promotion and recognize them for their hard work and dedication.
Now we know you are wondering how do I take advantage of this opportunity to MAKE MORE MONEY?
Beginning opening night of the 2018 season all drivers in the Burg Stock class along with any car owners will be eligible for promotion. To earn this promotion you will need to run one lap or own a car that at anytime runs a 17.399 second lap or faster in the Burg Stock Division. In years past we were unable to reward these drivers and car owners because of not having transponders to time every single lap. With the announcement of electronic scoring we can now reward drivers and any car owners by allowing them to race against the Outlaw FWD’s. In the Outlaw FWD class they will be able to take full advantage of racing tires and most of all set up their car to take advantage of the technology that the Burg Stock class does not allow. To get promoted, it’s simple just run any lap faster than a 17.400 and you get an instant promotion. Good luck and congratulations to anyone who earns a promotion this season and gets the opportunity at the higher payouts in the Outlaw FWD class.
“New for 2018 at Galesburg Speedway we will have a max break out rule. The max break out rule for all cars racing in the Burg Stock division will be a 17.400. If you go faster than the 17.400, the car and the driver will no longer be able to participate in the Burg Stock division for the remainder of the season. You will be moved up to the Outlaw FWD class. This move will be permanent. There will be no moving back and forth. Once you go under that time you are done in the Burg Stock division. If this happens during qualifying, dash or heat race, you will be moved up to the Outlaw FWD for the feature. If it happens in the feature event you will be disqualified and done for that night and will receive start money for the night. Your points will not transfer to another division. There is no exception to this rule.”
